Well I am amazed at how quick you put this up! I still feel that it generally is not a good idea for people to use the ouija board but I also believe in free will and so if people wish to do so it is up to them - however I would say that they really ought to be aware of the fact that they could be letting themselves in for a nasty surprise. I do believe that there are people like Angie Kruger out there who are very experienced Mediums or paranormal investigators like Trevor etc., and who know what they are doing protection wise who may never have had a problem with it - well, not just yet anyway - who is to know when they may do! However, the average lay person will have a problem with it. Now, even though I am a Medium and well protected, I just have no desire or need to use an ouija board, especially as I have them talking to me anyway. I guess I can understand for those who don't hear spirit quite so clearly the pull of using a ouija board, because it would seem to be a shortcut to spirit and a way to get answers that one would not normally have a chance to do. However, is it worth the risk? That is what you would have to ask yourself. Just like any dangerous or extreme sport (well not quite, but you know the analogy!), you have a choice and you could die in the process but it is always your choice of course. Just like drugs really, drugs can kill you, or they may not, but why risk it, why go there if you don't have to and there are better routes to getting high? Or, in the case of the ouija board, there are other safer routes to contacting loved ones in spirit, and receiving communications from our dear departed. Very very interesting debate and one that may never be fully and satisfactorily answered but as always it is up to each individual to decide for themselves what to do and what not to do! Who are we to tell anyone what to do, all we can do is, via our own experiences or knowledge, advice others to the best that we can and if we are deemed wrong then so be it. NONE of us is ever completely right or completely wrong and that is what makes life so interesting!! It is all a matter of perception. Love and light to you all, Goodnight and Blessings to all. xx

Im fully AGAINST using the board. I saw how it damaged a dear friend of mine. Try visiting your once happy, lively, intelligent friend in a psychiatric unit because she got hooked on a ouijja board. It's hard. Very hard. The damn thing destroyed her mind, will and her ability to think and function for herself....Ill never touch one!!

when i was younger, myself and a friend decided to make a makeshift board at his grandad's old house.(he had died not long before). as kids do, we were laughin a larkin around! then the atmosphere changed...felt strange! it was so quiet..then upstrairs the door opened,slowly and creakey!! we did not hang around to see what did it..we ran outside as quick as we could. was so scared...what ever it was was not positive! would never do it again..learned my lesson.

Well I am not surprised at either story and yes I do essentially agree with you of course. I was just trying to be objective and to look at things from another perspective. I would not want anyone I know however to ever use the ouija board but we can't stop those people we don't know, we can just put out as much warning as we can I guess.

It is great that people will post there replies and experiences about the board , we have had a lot of people against the use of the board what we need now is people who use it reguarlly and have had no bAd experiences with it
We need this side so we can have a balanced debate about it , no doubt this is going to carry on for quite a while and we cant say we have had a debate without both sides of the story,
So please if you use the board agree with the use of it and want to put your views across use this to do so

well i have used a board on and off for over 20 years with NO negative experiences !!! there are so many urban myths behind the boards use .the board is a tool and should be treated with respect the same respect should be shown to the spirits you are communicating with.
most of the neqative stories of the board are from people experimenting with the board when they were children, the board is NOT a toy (even though if you live in the states you can walk into "toys r us" and purchased a so called original board made by waddingtons !!) if a child played with a power tool and got hurt we wouldnt blame the power tool or say it was evil we would understand that the child shouldnt have been messing around with it in the first place ,same goes for the board if used by someone who knows what they are doing its a useful tool used by someone who has no idea what they are doing they only have themselves to blame if they get hurt !

We use the boards on a regular basis on our events, its not the boards that are dangerous its the people that use them the board is just a tool and if used by the right people can be a great tool for communication

Surely no matter how you connect to spirit there is always a chance of someone not nice coming through, so how does using a ouija board make it a bigger risk?

How does using a ouija board make it a bigger risk ? Possibly because you may be allowing spirits to use your energy and/or guide your hand which could give them some physical control or influence. Something only an experienced medium should do. I think the board should only be used by well experienced and qualified people . Unfortunately , 99% of people might disregard that and think they would be the one nothing bad would ever happen to . If you develop your own skills there is no reason to use a ouija board and it seems like a very tedious method anyway , having to spell everything out . I think mainly it's an exciting show prop for some , and a risky spirit communication shortcut for the inexperienced . As sure as the seasons change , every year there is a new crop of ouija board experimenters , and nothing can deter them . I don't use boards myself , but I do find them madly attractive artistically . I just have a feeling ouija board gift wrap paper is coming .. Ooo, hey - how about a ouija headboard for the bed ?  Could be the end of good night's sleep . |

The most you have to fear from the board is your own imagination as most (i will refrain from saying all) the information you get from it comes from within it maybe stuff you have read about and forgotten but its still there tucked away in your subconscious just waiting to be tapped into. I have used a board many times with little effect although i have seen the planchet move by itself and aspark come from one up someones arm but this may be down to the fact that it was a plastic board with a plastic planchet so static can not be ruled out. Now here is the strange bit i made one up at work one day from a piece of paper and after using it decided to burn it just to be on the safe side when i put the flame to one corner of the paper my hand was almost burnt as the whole sheet caught fire straight away just as though it had been thrown onto a hot fire now i am not saying this was due it my using it as a board as the paper may have had oil or some other flammable liquid spilt on it it just seamed to catch fire rather quickly

Your mind is a very powerfull tool , as yo know,
This topic goes on and on , on what ever forum be it here or on guk, or ztalk, why cant it just go to bed
